<p>Position Number: 22099200</p> <p>County: Pulaski</p> <p>Posting End Date: 04/30/2025</p> <p>Anticipated Starting Salary: $50,222.00</p> <p>OF</p> <p>The DHS Program Administrator provides oversight to the following: Daily activity of Coding, Expense Correction, Funds Management, and 3 full time employees. The DHS Program Administrator does the following: Assist in preparing federal reports for Advance Planning Document (APD), Category of Service, Waivers, Skilled Professional Medical Personnel, monitoring fund transfers from private banks to Divisions of Medical Services Funds, assist in setting up and maintaining new Funds, fund centers, cost centers, and internal order numbers for revenue and expense tracking. Monitoring the cost tracker for all of the APD's to make sure the variances are caught before reporting and budget within the APD is maintained before quarter end for reporting purposes and the financial vitality of the division. Interacts with other state agencies, for example, Arkansas Department of Health and occasionally Office of Attorney General's Office and Office of Medicaid Inspector General, as well as contractors providing CMS reporting assistance. Interacts on a regular basis with DHS office of Managerial Accounting, and program leadership.</p> <p>Preferred skills Include: written and oral communication, problem solving, and organizational.</p> <p>Experience in: Federal Reporting, AASIS, Excel, Power Point, presenting information, holding meetings.</p> <p>The Department of Human Services is a place for people passionate about serving others and changing lives for the better. At DHS, we take care of our employees so you can help care for others.</p> <p>Position Information</p> <p>Class Code: G099C</p> <p>Grade: GS09</p> <p>FLSA Status: EXEMPT</p> <p>Salary Range: $50,222.00 - $80,105.00</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>The Department of Human Services (DHS) Program Administrator is responsible for overseeing, monitoring, and evaluating service and grant programs. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.</p> <p>Functions</p> <p>Supervises a subordinate staff by developing short and long term goals and objectives, determining the allocation of internal and external resources, advising staff seeking guidance, and overseeing the functions of program activities to ensure fulfillment of the organization's mission and objectives. Interviews, recommends for hire, trains, coordinates, assigns, reviews work, and evaluates the performance of incumbents. Monitors and evaluates service programs and recommends corrective action when needed. Writes and implements grants, assesses grant criteria to ensure compliance, and researches alternative grant sources. Provides technical assistance regarding program, personnel, and policy matters and provides oral/written information and testimony. Develops and prepares operational and personnel budgets by analyzing, compiling, and preparing reports, proposals, and correspondence. Serves on various committees and task forces to stay abreast on service program information. Performs other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Dimensions</p> <p>None</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</p> <p>Knowledge of grant writing techniques and administration. Knowledge of the principles and practices of organizational management. Knowledge of programs and services administered to aid children and families. Ability to conduct inspections to determine compliance with laws, standards and regulations. Ability to prepare, present, and review oral and written information. Ability to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and services.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in general business, sociology, psychology, or a related field; plus four years of experience in social services, organizational management, or a related area, including one year of experience in a supervisory capacity. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management.
