As part of the Balls Food Stores family, we offer the stability of a locally owned company with deep community roots.</p> <p>This is a great fit for someone who enjoys connecting with people, recognizing opportunities to enhance the guest experience, and "connecting the dots" between products, promotions, and guest needs.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities & Job Duties</p> <ul> <li>Provide friendly, helpful, and respectful guest service at all times </li><li>Accurately scan and process guest purchases while maintaining speed and accuracy </li><li>Handle cash, credit, and electronic payments following proper procedures </li><li>Stay informed on promotions, pricing, and store initiatives to support sales and enhance the guest experience </li><li>Engage with guests to answer questions, make suggestions, and help connect them with products that meet their needs </li><li>Communicate clearly with teammates and leadership to support smooth front-end operations </li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe checkout and front-end area </li><li>Stock, face, and assist with product placement as needed </li><li>Operate POS systems, scanners, and related equipment accurately </li><li>Monitor inventory levels near checkout areas and report issues </li><li>Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards </li><li>Assist with bagging, restocking, cleaning, and supporting other departments as needed </li><li>Remain productive during slower periods by supporting store presentation and identifying opportunities to improve the guest experience </li><li>Other job duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience </li></ul> <p>Required: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays</p> <ul> <li>Preferred: Experience in grocery, retail, or food service environments </li></ul>
