<p>EH&S Specialist</p> <p>Working Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Flexible)</p> <p>Location:</p> <ul> <li>Primary Site (75%) - 50 Apple Hill Drive, Tewksbury, MA </li><li>Secondary Site (25%) - 350 Lowell Street, Andover, MA </li></ul> <p>$23.50/hr</p> <p>The EH&S Specialist will support environmental, health, and safety programs across engineering and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate brings a well-rounded understanding of EH&S practices with a focus on hazard identification, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and hazardous waste management. This position requires daily coordination with cross-functional teams including engineers, production staff, and leadership, as well as timely support for multiple ongoing projects.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities: EH&S Specialist</p> <ul> <li>Manage and improve EH&S programs (e.g., Job Hazard Analyses, PPE Assessments, RIDII, ergonomics, contractor safety, etc.) </li><li>Conduct EHS inspections, noise and ventilation surveys, respirator fit testing, and IH sampling </li><li>Lead or support root cause investigations for safety concerns and incidents </li><li>Track corrective actions and contribute to injury reduction and safety initiatives </li><li>Develop and deliver EH&S training to employees and contractors </li><li>Support behavioral-based safety programs and EH&S strategic initiatives </li><li>Assist with safety team efforts and site evacuations </li><li>Perform ergonomic assessments (industrial and office) </li><li>Manage hazardous waste and universal waste accumulation areas </li><li>Interpret OSHA, NIOSH, and ANSI standards to ensure compliance </li><li>Analyze safety performance metrics to identify trends and drive improvement </li></ul> <p>Required Skills: EH&S Specialist</p> <ul> <li>Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and ANSI standards </li><li>Practical application of safety and industrial hygiene principles </li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) </li><li>Detail-oriented, well-organized, and self-motivated </li><li>Comfortable with independent work and team collaboration </li><li>Willingness to take on new responsibilities and rotate into other EH&S areas (environmental, sustainability) </li></ul> <p>Desired Skills: EH&S Specialist</p> <ul> <li>Prior experience delivering EH&S training </li><li>Ability to remain calm under pressure or in potentially stressful environments </li><li>Familiarity with EH&S databases or reporting systems </li></ul> <p>Education & Experience: EH&S Specialist</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree preferred (EHS-related field ideal) </li><li>1-2 years of relevant EH&S experience required </li></ul> <p>EEO Statement Apollo Professional Solutions, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
