You'll get the tools to do things right in a clean and safe work environment and the trust to fix any issue that comes your way.</p> <p>StandardAero has an opportunity for a Welder with experience in metal fabrication equipment such as gas tungsten arc (GTAW), gas metal arc (GMAW), flux-cored arc (FAW), plasma arc (PAW), shielded metal arc (SMAW), and resistance welding.</p> <p>As a Welder you will:</p> <ul> <li>Produce a variety of parts from shop drawings to conform to specifications </li><li>Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications </li><li>Operate brazing and soldering equipment </li><li>Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears, and other metal straightening and bending machines </li><li>Participate in continuous improvement of processes </li><li>Cross train in other complementary skills to support production requirements </li><li>Observe all applicable safety requirements </li></ul> <p>Position Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED </li><li>Minimum of 2 years previous TIG welding experience in aerospace/aviation </li><li>Experience welding with thin gauge material and exotic metals (Inconel and Hastelloy) </li><li>Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints and welding process specifications </li><li>Completion of a welding apprenticeship program; or equivalent </li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average work day </li><li>Well organized with attention to detail </li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills </li></ul> <p>Desired Characteristics:</p> <ul> <li>Thorough understanding of tool design and fabrication methods and processes </li><li>Working knowledge of related company instructions, company processes, reworks process instructions, original equipment manufacturer manuals and MSDS labels </li><li>Working knowledge of production management computer system and other related internal control systems </li><li>Attainment of trade certification </li><li>Attainment of applicable welding ticket(s) </li></ul> <p>Benefits that make life better:</p> <ul> <li>Comprehensive Healthcare </li><li>401(k) with 100% company match; up to 5% vested </li><li>Paid Time Off starting on day one </li><li>Bonus opportunities </li><li>Health- & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts </li><li>Short- & Long-Term Disability </li><li>Life & AD&D Insurance </li><li>Learning & Training opportunities </li></ul>
