<p>This role will start July 14, 2025, and run through the end June 26, 2026.</p> <p>The Videoboard Entertainment Graduate Associate will provide administrative and creative support for video production with a focus on Magicvision and in-game entertainment. Work closely with a Videoboard Producer and Motion Graphics Designers to produce video content and create motion graphics that strengthen the game day experience for fans.</p> <p>What the Graduate Associate will be responsible for:</p> <ul> <li>Utilize Adobe Creative Cloud to assist with game preparation, including creating and updating content for home games. </li><li>Work with Producers and Motion Graphics Designers to brainstorm & execute high-quality content for in-game entertainment, including (but not limited to): </li><li>Animated LED sequences </li><li>Visual effects for team hype/intro videos </li><li>Rotoscoping </li><li>Player ID elements </li><li>Video feature graphics treatments </li><li>Mascot/team entertainment in-game activations </li><li>Collaborate with Content Studio teammates to enhance social media offerings by way of visual effects or motion graphics accents. </li><li>Develop motion graphics templates for handoff to Content Studio producers/editors. </li><li>In addition to handling Orlando Magic design projects, provide limited motion design support for both the Orlando Solar Bears (ECHL affiliate of the Tampa Bay Lightning) and Osceola Magic (NBA G League affiliate of the Orlando Magic) for in-game entertainment, partnerships and marketing initiatives. </li><li>Work with internal Marketing & Global Partnerships departments as well as Orlando Venues to develop content that promotes their initiatives, as assigned. </li><li>Monitor and certify that all content being produced adheres to both the Orlando Magic brand guidelines & Kia Center technical specifications. </li><li>Ensure shared storage disk space is being optimized by effectively managing projects and digital assets. </li><li>Communicate project status reports regularly. </li><li>Responsible for opening, assigning and updating projects within the Wrike project management system. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>What the Graduate Associate needs to have:</p> <ul> <li>Post Grad (recent college graduates within 24 months of graduation) or graduate-level college students required. </li><li>College degree requirement: 2-year degree in film or television production, Marketing, Communications or equivalent experience. </li><li>Strong knowledge of Adobe After Effects required. </li><li>Must provide a link to your portfolio/design work that showcases experience in creating motion graphics. </li><li>Working knowledge of standard production formats and transfer practices required. </li><li>Experience in Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator and other Adobe Creative Cloud software considered a plus. </li><li>2 years of video editing or motion graphics experience for sports preferred. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other related computer skills required. </li><li>Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure. </li><li>Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail required. </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on business writing skills. </li><li>Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects and support multiple high level executive positions. </li><li>Ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative. </li><li>Strong team synergy skills and ability to work collaboratively with others whom you have no direct authority over. </li><li>Excellent ability to establish rapport with others and ability to build strong interpersonal relationships. </li><li>Exhibit good judgment and decision-making skills. </li><li>Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends and be on-call as necessary based on the changing priorities of the department. </li></ul> <p>What we offer you:</p> <p>Compensation and Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>$18.00/hour plus overtime </li><li>Game tickets during Magic season (as available) </li><li>40% discount on Orlando Magic merchandise </li><li>Medical coverage option </li></ul> <p>Relocation Information:</p> <ul> <li>Relocation and housing expenses are the responsibility of the Graduate Associate (Please note that while we have a hybrid work model, this does require you to live and work out of the Orlando, Florida area.) </li><li>Reliable transportation is also needed </li></ul> <p>Working Hours:</p> <ul> <li>M-F, 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. </li><li>Comfortable working in a remote office setting (home and office) </li><li>Most Associates work all game nights (44 home games + postseason) including weekends and holidays </li><li>Culture built on Community, Innovation, Legendary and Teamwork!
