If you are someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment and who also enjoys working closely with clients in the Data Center market, this opportunity is for you!</p> <p>At Jacobs our wireless telecommunications project leads will work on various projects as assigned by a Manager or Lead Engineer. This position will play a role in the entire design process including but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>preliminary assessments </li><li>concept creation </li><li>leading designs with support from your peers, SME's, and BIM designers </li><li>internal and external problem resolution </li><li>drawing and specification production </li><li>customer and vendor accessibility. </li></ul> <p>The wireless telecommunication project lead may work on several concurrent projects and will be responsible to ensure that projects are completed on time.</p> <p>As a wireless telecommunication project lead, you'll design and provide technical design leadership of systems for data center buildings which include Commercial DAS, Public Safety DAS, LMR, Site Radio, RoIP, Wi-Fi and Tower Studies.</p> <p>Responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Designing Wireless systems in iBwave and EDX. </li><li>Coordination with BIM designers to create drawing packages </li><li>Coordination with AHJ's, Radio System Owners, and the Carriers. </li><li>DIV 27 specification creation, or modification. </li><li>conducting site visits </li><li>reviewing technical documents </li><li>Managing the relationship with internal and external stakeholders. </li></ul> <p>Here's what you'll need</p> <ul> <li>Technical or associate's degree from an accredited institution </li><li>Minimum 5 years' experience actively designing wireless telecommunications systems. These systems Include: </li><li>LMR 2-way radio, which includes outdoor LMR, Site Radio, and RoIP systems . </li><li>Public Safety DAS systems </li><li>Commercial DAS systems, which include: </li><li>OTA DAS, </li><li>Neutral Host DAS </li><li>DRAN DAS </li><li>Minimum 5 years' experience with iBwave, EDX, Atoll, LMR Planner or a combination of 5 years' experience with different modeling programs. </li><li>Experience working with clients to help them identify their wireless communications needs. </li><li>Experience with troubleshooting wireless communication system issues from field teams. </li><li>Experience with understanding Noise Floor, SNIR, Return Loss, and VSWR. </li><li>Experience with optimizing networks in the design and during installation. </li><li>Thorough knowledge of NFPA 72, NFPA 1221, and NFPA 1225 </li><li>Thorough knowledge of IFC section 510 </li><li>Thorough Knowledge of Carrier KPI's </li><li>knowledge of IBC </li><li>Knowledge of FCC part 20 and part 90 </li><li>Knowledge of FCC OET bulletin 65. </li><li>Knowledge of MOTOTRBO systems </li><li>Knowledge of Motorola R56 installation standards </li><li>Knowledge of DMR Tier III </li><li>Familiarity working with Navisworks </li><li>Self-motivation to coordinate with other disciplines, project managers and clients </li><li>Excellent project management skills. </li><li>Familiarity with responding to RFP's </li><li>Experienced in creating a budget for a project . </li><li>Experienced in creating and maintaining a project schedule </li><li>Experienced in identifying and mitigating company risk </li><li>iBwave Level 2 Certification required </li></ul> <p>Ideally, You'll Also Have:</p> <ul> <li>Experience designing Wi-Fi systems </li><li>EDX or Motorola design certifications </li><li>FCC GROL </li><li>NICET Design Certification </li><li>Multiple OEM product certifications </li><li>Electrical Engineering degree, or Communication Engineering Degree </li><li>EIT or PE </li></ul> <p>Posted Salary Range: Minimum</p> <p>91,400.00</p> <p>Posted Salary Range: Upper</p> <p>125,600.00</p> <p>Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
