We are driven by Positivity which inspires us to be our best and to go above and beyond for our patients, for one another, and for our community.</p> <p>If you're ready for a rewarding new career, join Team Bronson and be part of the experience.</p> <p>Location</p> <p>BBC Bronson Battle Creek, BMH Bronson Methodist Hospital</p> <p>Title</p> <p>Phlebotomist Full time, Part time and PRN BBC</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>As a Phlebotomist, you will perform essential pre-analytical and post-analytical functions in our laboratory, focusing on accurate specimen collection and quality assurance.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Collect specimens via venipuncture or capillary puncture. </li><li>Ensure correct specimen types are collected based on labeling and reference materials. </li><li>Respond to STAT orders and prioritize tasks according to policy. </li><li>Maintain communication with team members and charge personnel. </li><li>Verify accuracy of test orders and participate in quality assurance checks. </li><li>Perform EKGs and specialized tests (e.g., sweat chloride, bleeding time). </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED required. </li><li>National Phlebotomy Certification preferred. </li><li>Proficiency in Mysis Laboratory Information System. </li><li>Knowledge of basic biology, chemistry, and mathematics. </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Customer service-oriented with problem-solving abilities. </li><li>Adaptable and able to work in a dynamic environment. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Frequent standing, walking, and light lifting (up to 20 lbs). </li><li>Ability to operate a personal computer for up to 40% of the time. </li><li>Must manage tasks with potential mental/visual fatigue due to frequent deadlines. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <ul> <li>Assist with onboarding new staff in the LIS. </li><li>Ensure all patient testing is accounted for prior to collection. </li><li>Function as an accession technician when qualified. </li></ul> <p>Note:</p> <p>Bronson Healthcare Group prohibits unsolicited resumes from recruiters or third-party agencies.
