<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Position Title:</p> <p>Certified Occupational Therapist - K-12 School</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Litchfield County, Connecticut (Public School District)</p> <p>About the Role</p> <p>We are seeking a licensed and nationally certified Occupational Therapist to join our district's special education team. You will support students across K-12 through evidence-based interventions, collaboration with educators, and individualized service plans.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Conduct evaluations and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs. </li><li>Deliver individual and group occupational therapy during the school day. </li><li>Adapt classroom environments, recommend assistive technology, and offer strategies to support student participation. </li><li>Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to integrate therapy goals into academic goals. </li><li>Maintain clear, timely documentation in line with federal and state regulations (IDEA, Medicaid, etc.). </li><li>Participate in IEP/504 meetings, staff training, and parent consultations. </li><li>Provide transition services planning for students moving between grade levels or into vocational/post-secondary programs. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Master's or entry-level doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy (per Connecticut licensure requirements). </li><li>Active Connecticut OT license and certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) </li><li>Demonstrated experience in a school setting is preferred but not required. </li><li>Knowledge of K-12 curriculum, developmental disabilities, sensory processing, and educational therapy approaches. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset. </li><li>Eligibility or experience in Medicaid billing preferred. </li></ul> <p>Compensation & Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Salary: $70,000 - $73,000/year (dependent on experience/credentials). </li><li>Work Schedule: Follows the school calendar (approx.
