Join us.</p> <p>The Process Manager, Design Engineering is responsible for managing contract and purchase order reviews, leading pre- and post-production meetings, and coordinating Design Engineering activities. The role ensures accurate cost estimating for new parts, manages design changes, guides method and tooling development, leads problem-solving efforts, and drives cost reduction and quality improvements across products and processes.</p> <ul> <li>Prioritize and direct Design Engineering staff to support Engineering and ATI Forged Products objectives. </li><li>Monitor performance metrics and drive improvements supporting business goals. </li><li>Select, train, evaluate, and motivate Design Engineering personnel to develop organizational capability. </li><li>Ensure contract and customer order reviews are completed accurately and timely; ensure adherence to policies and procedures. </li><li>Prioritize and track progress of estimating projects, new part development, customer orders, and backlog resolution. </li><li>Apply extensive manufacturing expertise to guide cost development, process planning, and technical decision-making. </li><li>Strengthen organizational understanding of routing, estimating, tooling, and PT cost drivers. </li><li>Maintain and ensure integrity of ERP data entry and process changes. </li><li>Lead and document HPI, pre-production, and other cross-functional meetings to identify and drive actions. </li><li>Build strong working relationships with internal teams and customers to promote trust, transparency, and high ethical standards. </li></ul> <p>Basic Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Industrial, or related preferred). </li><li>7+ years of engineering experience in heavy manufacturing or aerospace industries. </li></ul> <p>Preferred</p> <ul> <li>Strong understanding of forging, heat treating, machining, and NDT processes. </li><li>Experience managing contract/order reviews and interpreting customer technical requirements. </li><li>Demonstrated experience leading engineering, technical staff, or cross-functional project teams. </li><li>Proven ability to develop or improve manufacturing processes, tooling, and routings. </li><li>Proficiency in ERP systems and managing accurate process data. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Strong analytical problem-solving skills with a track record of driving measurable improvements. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work with all organizational levels and customers. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and project backlogs in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Strong business judgment and decision-making capability. </li><li>Commitment to continuous improvement, quality, and operational excellence. </li></ul> <p>We thrive when the expectations are great, and the barriers are high.
