<p>Furniture Repair Technician</p> <p>Rincon, GA</p> <p>Serena & Lily is seeking a skilled Furniture Repair Technician to join our team at our distribution center in Savannah, GA. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in the furniture industry, with a strong background in repairing and restoring furniture to first-quality standards. This position requires a keen eye for detail, technical expertise, and a passion for craftsmanship.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Inspect and assess damaged furniture to determine the appropriate repair methods and materials needed to restore items to first-quality condition. </li><li>Perform various repair techniques including but not limited to upholstery, wood repair, refinishing, and assembly. </li><li>Collaborate with team members to prioritize and manage repair tasks efficiently, ensuring timely return of items for distribution and order fulfillment. </li><li>Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety and compliance standards. </li><li>Keep detailed records of repairs made, including materials used and hours spent on each project. </li><li>Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding repair schedules, inventory needs, and any additional concerns related to furniture quality. </li><li>Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in furniture restoration and repair. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 3 years of experience in the furniture industry, specifically in furniture repair and restoration. </li><li>Extensive knowledge of various furniture styles, materials, and construction methods. </li><li>Proficiency in using hand and power tools required for furniture repair. </li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. </li><li>Excellent attention to detail, with a passion for quality craftsmanship. </li><li>Good communication skills and a positive attitude. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to lift and move heavy furniture items (up to 100 lbs) as needed. </li><li>Capability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions involved in repair tasks. </li></ul> <p>COMPENSATION:</p> <ul> <li>$24-26/hr depending on experience </li><li>Employee discounts on Serena & Lily products. </li><li>Opportunities for professional development and growth within the company. </li><li>A supportive and creative work environment. </li></ul> <p>#LI-DNI</p>
