<p>MCR Safety/Tingley Rubber, a Bunzl company, is now hiring for a Controller based at the MCR Safety headquarters in Collierville, TN.</p> <p>The Controller will oversee and manage various accounting operations within the organization to include SAP Division 50 trial balance/reporting, accounts payable, import operations, rebates, commissions, tax compliance and coordinating the company's Internal Control Compliance Program. We seek to recruit and retain the right people who are passionate about our business and we provide opportunities for our employees so that they may progress within our company based on their talents, experiences, and their aptitude.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>SAP Division 50 Accounting</p> <ul> <li>Manage accounting activities associated with SAP Division 50 including managing trial balance, processing journals, and ensuring required reconciliations are completed on a timely basis. </li><li>Complete required analysis and reporting </li></ul> <p>Accounts Payable:</p> <ul> <li>Monitor and control the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice receipt, approval, coding, and payment. </li><li>Develop and implement accounts payable policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. </li></ul> <p>Import Operations:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate and manage import operations functions, including documentation, compliance, and cost management. </li><li>Ensure deliveries are processed accurately and in a timely manner </li></ul> <p>Rebates:</p> <ul> <li>Administer and track rebate programs, ensuring accurate calculation and timely processing. </li></ul> <p>Commissions:</p> <ul> <li>Oversee the calculation and payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. </li></ul> <p>Tax Compliance:</p> <ul> <li>Ensure compliance with Canadian GST requirements, accurate calculation and timely filing of returns and payments. </li><li>Coordinate with Corporate Tax department on collection of data for Sales & Use Tax and others as needed. </li></ul> <p>Internal Control:</p> <ul> <li>Act as the liaison between the company & it's subsidiaries and the Corporate Internal Audit Team to coordinate internal audit efforts. </li><li>Monitor and coordinate the completion of annual CSA (Control Self-Assessment), Supplier High Risk Spend Reporting, and various audit/mitigating controls reporting. </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate existing internal controls, policies, and procedures; recommend and implement improvements to ensure compliance with the corporate internal control framework. </li><li>Conduct regular risk assessments globally to identify potential areas of control weakness and develop strategies to mitigate risks. </li></ul> <p>Other:</p> <ul> <li>Lead, mentor, and develop the team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance as well as setting clear objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs). </li><li>Keep abreast of changes in corporate polices, communication of changes, and ensure necessary adjustments are made to maintain compliance. </li><li>Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders on internal control and risk-related matters. </li><li>Monitor and analyze key performance & risk indicators to identify trends, and emerging risks to senior management and stakeholders indicate control deficiencies or potential risks. </li><li>Collaborate with finance team to support various financial projects, including systems implementations, process improvements and ad hoc analysis. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CMA, CIA certification preferred. </li><li>Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting, internal control, risk management, audit, or a similar role within a corporate environment. Strong understanding of internal control frameworks and experience in their application. </li><li>Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations. </li><li>Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify control deficiencies & potential risks. </li><li>Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate and communicate complex information across all levels of the organization. </li><li>Proven ability to lead and manage teams & projects, including the implementation of new controls or process improvements. </li><li>Ability to work independently, make decisions under pressure, and prioritize tasks effectively. </li><li>Strategic thinker with the ability to make data-driven decisions and drive process improvements. </li><li>Experience with financial software systems such as SAP, Cognos TM1 or Hyperion HFM preferred. </li><li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. </li></ul> <p>So, what are you waiting for?
