<p>Description</p> <p>GEO Prep Academy is a tuition-free, public charter school that serves students in grades K-8. Our dedicated faculty and staff are committed to providing an outstanding education for students each day as they transition from elementary to middle school to high school and COLLEGE. Our curriculum and teaching methods are designed using Core Knowledge in K-8 and a blended learning model in elementary school through high school. We are a TAP school!</p> <p>REPORTS TO/TERM:</p> <p>Principal</p> <p>This is a 10-month position</p> <p>Essential Key Functions:</p> <p>A Math ESS Resource Teacher will perform the following duties:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain student service logs </li><li>Create and modify student lessons </li><li>Keep daily service logs </li><li>Conduct small group lessons </li><li>Provide individual student services </li><li>Push into general education classrooms </li><li>Collaborate with classroom teachers </li><li>Provide services to student as outlined in IEP </li><li>Write IEPs </li><li>Meet deadlines </li><li>Monitor progress </li><li>Maintain updated service schedule </li><li>Maintain updated caseload lists </li><li>Provide accommodations </li><li>Parental contacts w/documentation </li><li>Facilitate academic testing </li><li>Facilitate state testing </li><li>Communicate suspensions </li><li>Attend all required staff meetings </li><li>File state documents in Special Education file and office </li><li>Other functions assigned by supervisor </li><li>Follow all school policies </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>A bachelor's degree or higher with at least 24 credit hours in content area </li><li>Valid (State) Teaching License for (K-6) or (K-12) </li><li>At least one (or more) of the following: </li><li>National Board Certification </li><li>Core Knowledge Experience </li><li>Experience with Blended Learning </li><li>At least two years of successful teaching in an urban environment </li></ul>
