<p>TOOLING INTERN (YEAR ROUND)</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY:</p> <p>Responsible for Data Entry of tooling orders, running reports from QAD as needed, assist in prepping documents for shipping tools, assist in general requirements as directed by Manager.</p> <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Interact with tool engineers daily assisting in documentation tasks. </li><li>Ability to navigate and alter Excel Spreadsheets. </li><li>Participate in scheduling discussions and assist in schedule documentation. </li><li>Assist in evaluating status of delivery of purchased components. </li><li>Run reports as needed in QAD and communicate these reports to the organization. </li><li>Coordinate information between tooling suppliers and tooling engineers. </li><li>Work with Shop manager to assist in closing out complete work orders as needed . </li><li>Assist tool engineers as needed in tracking tool timelines. </li><li>Act as liaison between Purchasing, Tooling engineers and Shop manager in tracking late or missing items from BOM's. </li><li>Assist in preparation of commercial invoices liaison with finance. </li><li>Maintain required documentation and files. </li><li>All other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>Attending college and working towards degree in Engineering studies or equivalent training and experience. </li><li>Years of Experience: no specific requirement. </li></ul> <p>TRAVEL:</p> <ul> <li>Travel Required: NO </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of general computer and office skills. </li><li>Ability to interpret technical drawings. </li><li>General knowledge of manufacturing processes is helpful but not required. </li><li>Ability to learn QAD system and navigate through several menus. </li><li>Strong oral and written communication skills, informing others and presenting technical information. </li><li>High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively team members. </li><li>High level computer skills to include Windows applications, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. </li></ul>
