<p>Overview</p> <p>Chestnut Health Systems is seeking a full-time Support Services Coordinator to work at our Granite City, IL facility, servicing the Metro East and St. Louis, MO areas.</p> <p>Chestnut Health Systems is a leading provider of behavioral and primary health care services. Over four decades, Chestnut has grown to over 700 committed, compassionate employees providing substance use, mental health and primary care treatment to patients in Central and Southern Illinois. We provide fully integrated care for all of our patients by combining behavioral health care services with our community-based primary care health centers. Chestnut also conducts research and training throughout the U.S.A.</p> <p>Please note to be considered for a position you must attach a resume, complete the application, and answer all screening questions.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate daily operations including reception, scheduling appointments, collecting copays, handling money, data entry, financial intake, word processing, and medical records including handling of the medical record, both the paper and electronic, disclosures of information, correspondence, updating and data entry into the electronic health record, scanning and attaching of information to the medical record, and other duties assigned to direct reports. </li><li>Recruit and hire staff according to policy and procedures. Arrange and provide staff training as necessary and remain actively involved with all new hires. Promote and enforce a teamwork approach with staff, when working through tasks. </li><li>Provide direct supervision for all direct reports at each assigned location, promoting excellence in customer service. </li><li>Assist in the evaluation of the effectiveness of office production and procedures, with consultation to your immediate manager, make necessary changes to alleviate any immediate problem, and make recommendations for changes required improving efficiency of workflow. </li><li>Provide input in the development and maintenance of program policies and procedures as they relate to all support functions; customer service, medical records, reception, financial intake. </li><li>Complete timely evaluations according to Chestnut policies and procedures. Conduct regularly scheduled supervisory meetings with staff to provide feedback on performance and identify any needed changes. Document all significant supervisory meetings with staff using appropriate tools as described by the personnel policies. </li><li>Prepare reports as required by management to assist in evaluation of the effectiveness of the organization. </li><li>Develop and maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all supervisors of clinical services, and administrative staff. </li><li>Attend clinical program/supervisor meetings to assess needs and identify problems, and make recommendations for changes to manager, to assure quality support services for assigned site(s). </li><li>Participate in ongoing trainings and/or meetings to stay abreast of new and changing policies/procedures. </li><li>Promote the recovery model of treatment by showing respect and courtesy when interacting with consumers to provide a safe and welcoming environment. </li><li>Promote Chestnut's culture of customer service excellence through the adherence to Chestnut's behavioral standards for customer service. </li><li>Maintain and protect confidentiality and security of all organizational information gained in the course of performing job responsibilities including, but not limited to, financial and client information. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Position requires a high school diploma or G.E.D. </li><li>Position requires a minimum of three (3) years' supervisory experience in medical records and front office operations and staff, in a healthcare or behavioral healthcare environment. </li><li>Relevant work experience using an electronic health record, scheduling software, and electronic billing system is required. </li><li>Strong keyboarding skills including data entry into a variety of databases including an electronic health record or electronic billing system is required. </li><li>Advanced skills using Microsoft Office Outlook and Word with intermediate skills using Excel required. </li><li>Visibility of work requires attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, and discretion with HIPAA and other confidential information. </li><li>Must be able to work independently and manage several tasks at one time. </li><li>Must demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with a diverse group of people and maintain appropriate working relationships exercising good judgment and discretion. </li><li>Must be able to commute to various Chestnut locations to supervise staff. </li><li>Must have a valid driver's license, private automobile insurance and be insurable. </li><li>Satisfactory completion of Chestnut's background checking process. </li></ul> <p>Are you intrigued by this job but don't meet every single requirement?
