To provide a safe, functional, and attractive environment for the campus' students, faculty, staff, administrators, and visitors. Work may be assigned independently or as a member of a team.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair campus equipment, buildings and grounds. </li><li>Well-rounded individual with mechanical aptitude, drive, and experience in the maintenance and repair of various H.V.A.C equipment, pumps, motors, kitchen equipment, lighting, minor electrical, (under 277/vac.), plumbing systems, masonry, painting, miscellaneous carpentry. </li><li>Assist with set-up / break-down, and staffing for special events </li><li>Provide on-call and after-hours' coverage. </li><li>Assist the mechanical and general maintenance team. </li><li>Operate light or medium weight trucks and equipment to include tractors and snow removal equipment if required. </li><li>Work as directed by Facility Management. </li><li>Remain engaged and up-to-date and informed as to current practices of job-related functions. </li><li>Work with other people that may be contacted in an agreeable manner. </li><li>Cooperate with other people within the department and other department personnel in completing assigned tasks. </li><li>Display the necessary initiative and dependability to work alone or in groups. </li><li>Perform all duties in a safe and professional manner and in accordance with department policies and procedures. </li><li>Complete daily work orders and PMs. Turn in completed paperwork at the end of each shift worked. </li><li>Ensure service slips, packing slips, and completed paperwork go back to the Facilities office daily. </li><li>Ensure that all work is being conducted in a safe and ethical manner. </li><li>Responsible for working in compliance with all OSHA, EPA, and other local, state, and federal government laws and regulations. </li><li>Perform any additional duties to support Immaculata University as deemed necessary. </li><li>Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. </li></ul> <p>Immaculata University is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. This position can function independently or may lead small project teams. </li><li>Able to read and comprehend blueprints. </li><li>Must have basic computer knowledge, and familiarity with any computerized work order system is a plus. </li><li>Deal with employees, management, and client's guests and employees with tact and courtesy. </li><li>Possess a valid driver's license.
