A-State participates in E-Verify.</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The Skilled Trades Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the skilled tradesman in one or more of the following skilled trades: HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or mechanical. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.</p> <p>Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Adhere to the vision and guiding principles of the Finance and Administration Division </li><li>Manage all assigned projects </li><li>Check status of work in progress and make inspections of work performed </li><li>Attend staff meetings, establish work policies and procedures </li><li>Prepare work progress reports, annual reports and assist with departmental training </li><li>Ensure employees have tools and materials needed to perform daily tasks assigned </li><li>Adhere to Arkansas State University's safety policies and procedures and manufacturer's safety instructions </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:</p> <p>Knowledge of policy and procedures, laws, and regulations relating to one or more of the skilled trades, licensure and certification required for one or more of the skilled trades, the methods, practices, and safety precautions in one or more of the skilled trades, the standard practices, processes, materials, and equipment used in the maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment, and materials, methods, and tools involved in the maintenance, repair, and/or construction of buildings or other structures</p> <p>Ability to calculate time, materials, and labor needed for projects, read and interpret blueprints, manuals, schematics, building plans, and drawings for one or more of the skilled trades, and communicate information and ideas in various environments</p> <p>General Days/Hours:</p> <p>Monday - Friday</p> <p>8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.</p> <p>Additional hours as requested and/or needed</p> <p>Regular and reliable attendance</p> <p>Other:</p> <p>Please note: all position postings close at 12:00 A.M.
