This role includes developing safety policies, conducting risk assessments, leading incident investigations, delivering employee training, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. A successful EHS Manager will champion a LEAN, safety-driven culture through leadership alignment, employee engagement, continuous improvement, and accountability to key EHS metrics. This position plays a critical role in reducing risk, improving processes, and sustaining a strong team-owned safety culture. Principal Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>Provide leadership in safety, health, and environmental compliance including permitting, inspections, workers' compensation, and incident investigations with root cause analysis Develop, implement, and support the delivery of safety training and communication materials Analyze safety trends and influence positive safety behaviors across the facility Manage EHS-related projects, initiatives, and external consultants Mentor and develop EHS champions throughout the organization Collaborate with facility and maintenance leadership to execute safety action plans and improvement projects Conduct Job Hazard Assessments, Job Safety Analysis, and hazard mapping Reinforce environmental, health, and safety best practices across all departments Compile, analyze, and present EHS statistics and trends and ensure timely progress toward KPI goals Lead incident investigations, corrective action processes, and participate in escalated injury and incident reviews Research, recommend, and support engineered safety solutions to prevent future incidents Manage all environmental programs including permitting, air compliance, spill prevention, pollution prevention, hazardous waste, audits, and environmental training Maintain knowledge of environmental regulations and industry best practices Communicate emerging safety and environmental issues and corporate responsibility expectations across all levels Rigging and Crane Safety Oversight: Implement lifting safety protocols, manage inspection programs, and ensure OSHA compliance for cranes, hoists, slings, and rigging gear Air Quality and Ventilation: Oversee air monitoring and ventilation systems to control airborne contaminants including respirable crystalline silica, fumes, and process emissions Training and Education: Deliver training on general safety procedures, emergency response, heat stress prevention, noise control, and certified crane and rigging operations Regulatory Compliance: Ensure operations comply with OSHA, EPA, and all applicable safety and environmental regulations</p> <p>Qualifications, Skills and Requirements</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental science, or related field required, master's preferred 5+ or more years of experience in manufacturing EHS and have a deep expertise and responsibility in the environmental side of EHS Strongly preferred certifications include CIH, CSP, ASP, CHMM, or PE Solid understanding of local, state, and federal EHS requirements and regulatory agencies Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to deliver effective EHS training across diverse teams Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional safety initiatives Strong organization, prioritization, and time-management skills Results-oriented mindset with initiative and ownership Proven people-centric leadership and strong problem-solving abilities Foundry Knowledge: Understanding of metal casting processes and hazards including silica exposure, heat stress, airborne metals, and molten metal handling Rigging and Crane Knowledge: Expertise in rigging principles, load securement, crane operation protocols, and OSHA standards U.S. Citizenship required. No dual citizenship permitted due to NOFORN program requirements</p> <p>Travel: Less than 5 percent Language: English</p>
