<p>Our associates celebrate lives. We celebrate our associates.</p> <p>Provides administrative and clerical support to a funeral home, cemetery, crematory or a combination of these facilities. Duties include greeting the public and providing general information on services offered in a polite manner with a goal to meet and exceed customer expectations.</p> <p>JOB RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Prepare and process death certificates accurately and on time </li><li>Support multiple mortuaries across the market, including coverage when other DC Clerks are on vacation </li><li>Work directly with doctors' offices daily to obtain required medical information and secure physician signatures </li><li>Handle all information with discretion and confidentiality </li><li>Track the progress of each death certificate and provide real-time updates to location management and arrangers </li><li>Collaborate with location management, funeral arrangers, and support staff to gather information for death certificates </li><li>Experienced in working with Excel and Google Docs </li><li>Responsible for filing and amending records for multiple locations and for ordering death certificates </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by market management </li><li>Bilingual skills preferred </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 5 years EDRS (Electronic Death Registration System) experience </li><li>Strong technical and organizational skills </li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities across locations </li><li>Professional discretion in all communications </li><li>Advanced user in HMIS and Compass software proficiency </li><li>Valid driver license with reliable transportation </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>High School or equivalent </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>1 - 2 years of experience in an office clerical or customer service capacity required </li><li>Experience working in a customer-focused and fast-paced professional environment required </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Working knowledge of office equipment including computers, calculators, copiers, printers, and fax machines at a level consistent with experience </li><li>MS Office Suite experience preferred </li><li>Basic mathematics skills required </li><li>Good verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Strong organizational skills and detail oriented </li><li>High level of compassion and integrity </li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality </li></ul> <p>Compensation:</p> <p>Salary: $18.00/hr.- $22.00/hr.</p> <p>Benefits:</p> <p>Medical<em>Dental</em>Vision<em>Flexible Spending Accounts (health care and dependent care)</em>Health Savings Account with Company Contribution<em>Sick Leave</em>Short-Term Disability<em>Long-Term Disability</em>Life Insurance<em>Voluntary Accidental Death or Dismemberment Insurance</em>Dependent Life Insurance<em>SCI 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with Company match</em>Employee Assistance Program</p> <p>Postal Code: 92705</p> <p>Category (Portal Searching): Administration and Clerical</p> <p>Job Location: US-CA - Santa Ana</p>
