<p>Job Description:</p> <p>The Rural Ground Clinical Operations Manager provides direct leadership and oversight of assigned Medical Transport caregivers and owns all operational aspects of the Ambulance Services' Rural Ground program. It supports resource allocation, a safe working environment, clinical education for direct reports, and optimal patient care. In addition, it implements and supports clinical projects, process improvement, staffing, equipment and supply acquisition, hiring and assists in budget development and monitoring. This position demonstrates advanced critical thinking capabilities in working autonomously and in collaboration with other health care providers in the delivery of care. This position also supports development of other critical care and in-home care ground programs.</p> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Active Registered Nurse License required </li><li>Critical Care Nursing experience required </li><li>Medical Transport experience preferred </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Leads teams of medical transport clinical caregivers and is responsible for staffing, performance, development, coaching and ensuring the teams are engaged in working to their potential. </li><li>Demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and expertise necessary to provide medical care and transport appropriate to pediatric and adult patients. </li><li>Serves as a liaison between leadership and team to invite discussion, formulate solutions, share trends, and provide input into decisions that affect patients and team members. </li><li>Ensures appropriate standards and processes are met to ensure team members meet compliance requirements of Intermountain Healthcare and accrediting or regulatory organizations (CAMTS, CLIA, DEA, FAA, etc.). </li><li>Partners and collaborates with Aviation, Education, Quality Assurance, Safety, Logistics and Compliance leaders and functions to support optimal administration of education, ongoing review, process improvement, and guideline development. </li><li>Completes supervisory assignments in a timely manner related to payroll, scheduling, data requests, communications, development and measurement of KPI's and accounting. </li><li>Supports and promotes caregiver understanding and adherence to all safety practices, policies, procedures, and initiatives. </li><li>Owns and leads various special projects related to Med Transport clinical operations. </li><li>Supports program development for new programs within the Ambulance Services portfolio. </li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <ul> <li>Leadership </li><li>Emergency Response </li><li>Process Improvement </li><li>Medical records management </li><li>Safety </li><li>Education </li><li>Compliance </li><li>Logistics </li><li>Project Management </li><li>Program Development </li><li>Critical Care </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Current relevant state certification to practice as an RN. </li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers. </li><li>Current valid driver's license in good standing. </li><li>Demonstrates medical transport clinical experience </li><li>Demonstrated previous leadership experience </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>3 years' medical transport clinical experience </li><li>Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification (must obtain within 120 days of hire and maintain throughout employment) </li><li>Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification (must obtain within 120 days of hire and maintain throughout employment) </li><li>Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Transport Professional Advanced Trauma Course (TPATC) or Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) Certification </li><li>Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification </li><li>Bachelor's degree in nursing, healthcare-related field, or business management </li><li>Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary teams </li><li>Demonstrated experience in clinical program development </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs. </li><li>Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately. </li><li>Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc. </li><li>May have the same physical requirements as those of clinical or patient care jobs, when the leader takes clinical shifts. </li><li>For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles. </li></ul> <p>Location:</p> <p>Valley Center Tower</p> <p>Work City:</p> <p>Murray</p> <p>Work State:</p> <p>Utah</p> <p>Scheduled Weekly Hours:</p> <p>40</p> <p>The hourly range for this position is listed below.
