<p>Seasonal Position</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>This position is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, or Manufacturing Engineering who want hands-on experience in the medical equipment industry. You will work on real-world projects, support product development, and gain valuable insights in the manufacturing of medical devices. Operate computer numerical control (CNC) and related machines; ensure precision using measurement tools. Maintain awareness of close tolerance parts, using various types of measuring equipment including comparators, vision systems, calipers, micrometers, indicators and microscopes.</p> <p>Role and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Operate machines to meet required specifications for quality and throughput. </li><li>Perform ERP system transactions and maintain accurate documentation. </li><li>Conduct daily maintenance on equipment and tools. </li><li>Follow established procedures and traveler operation sequences to achieve product specifications per print. </li><li>Monitor machine operations to detect and resolve malfunctions promptly. </li><li>Ensure proper workpiece setup and coolant line adjustments as required. </li><li>Perform first-piece and in-process inspections, record measurements per inspection plans. </li><li>Communicate effectively with team members, other shifts, and supervisors to ensure smooth operations. </li><li>Report discrepancies to the supervisor or department lead. </li><li>Support continuous improvement in activities and maintain a clean, safe work environment. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Prior internship or project experience in medical device development is a plus </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Experience operating equipment is helpful. Experience in medical device manufacturing, aerospace, machinery or metals are desired. </li><li>Excellent communication and teamwork skills. </li><li>Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced environment. </li></ul> <p>Education Requirements</p> <p>High school diploma and or currently pursuing a degree in mechanical, Biomedical or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).</p> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Frequent performing repetitive work. </li><li>Occasional lifting (max. 40 lbs.) </li><li>Occasional carrying (max. 40 lbs.) </li><li>Subject to physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts </li><li>Constant safety glasses </li><li>Constant full PPE </li><li>Frequent standing </li><li>Occasional sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, reaching. </li></ul> <p>M-F 7:00am to 3:15pm</p>
