First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking an Accountant III to join the Controller's Division. The Accountant III is responsible for assisting the Accounts Payable (AP) Supervisor with overseeing daily operations and maintenance of the Accounts Payable system. Key responsibilities in this role will include reviewing and processing payments to vendors and employees; researching and analyzing expense variances; preparing periodic expense reports for management; reviewing business unit accruals for accuracy; assisting with the administration of the bank's corporate card program; and providing training and support for new AP clerks. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm (hours may vary) Compensation: The salary range for the role is $24.50 - $31.25 / per hour; commensurate with experience. The ideal candidate will have: Associate's degree in accounting, business administration, related field; or equivalent work experience required Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, related filed; or equivalent experience preferred 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable, using an automated Accounts Payable system integrated with General Ledger and other applications (fixed assets, inventory), and application of generally accepted account principles required Proficient in the use of Microsoft 365 suite of applications (Word and Excel) Able to type 40 wpm and use a 10-key by touch Possess effective oral, interpersonal and written communication skills Able to work in a team with minimal supervision Possess organizational skills; able to prioritize Possess high attention to detail Ability to handle confidential matters judiciously Benefits:?
