Our work blends artistry, craftsmanship, and construction to bring imaginative environments to life.</p> <p>We're looking for a Field Artist who thrives in a hands-on, outdoor environment and takes pride in creating high-quality 3D themed elements. This role combines artistic craftsmanship with real-world construction, working directly in the field to sculpt, paint, fabricate, and finish immersive environments. This is a traveling role throughout the U.S.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Create and install 3D themed elements including sculptures, rockwork, textures, and specialty finishes </li><li>Apply specialty paint finishes, coatings, and artistic renderings to meet design intent </li><li>Interpret blueprints, renderings, and field direction to execute artistic scope accurately </li><li>Sculpt, carve, weld, cut, grind, sand, spray, brush, and mix materials using a variety of tools </li><li>Build and refine forms, molds, parts, and structural components for durability and accuracy </li><li>Complete work from surface preparation through final detailing </li><li>Collaborate with designers, superintendents, engineers, and field teams </li><li>Track progress and communicate clearly through written and verbal updates </li><li>Operate equipment such as scissor lifts and boom lifts </li><li>Mentor and support less experienced artists as needed </li><li>Work safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project requirements </li></ul> <p>What You Bring</p> <p>Education & Knowledge</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>Preferred: Experience with fiberglass, steel, concrete, carpentry, and artistic fabrication </li><li>Ability to read and understand blueprints </li><li>OSHA-10 certification before hire date </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>At least 1 year in a related role (combined education and experience considered) </li><li>Hands-on experience with hand tools and artistic materials </li><li>Preferred: Forklift and light equipment operation experience </li></ul> <p>Skills & Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Strong sculpting, painting, and fabrication skills </li><li>Solid communication skills (verbal and written) </li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team </li><li>Critical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills </li><li>Commitment to safety and quality workmanship </li><li>Demonstrates COST's core competencies, including accountability, trust, and results-driven performance </li></ul> <p>Physical & Work Environment Requirements</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions</p> </li><li> <p>Regular lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, kneeling, and balancing</p> </li><li> <p>Must lift up to:</p> </li><li> <p>70 lbs (floor to waist)</p> </li><li> <p>90 lbs (waist to chest)</p> </li><li> <p>25 lbs (chest to overhead)</p> </li><li> <p>Must pass a respirator medical evaluation</p> </li><li> <p>Exposure to odors, fumes, airborne particles, and moderate-to-loud noise</p> </li><li> <p>Overtime may be required based on project deadlines</p> </li></ul> <p>Why COST?</p> <ul> <li>Work on unique, high-visibility projects across the country </li><li>Collaborate with talented artists and builders </li><li>Grow your craft while creating immersive environments people love </li><li>Be part of a team that values safety, quality, and creativity </li><li>We offer great benefits, PTO, travel opportunities, etc. </li></ul>
