<p>Memphis, TN</p> <p>DSG8669</p> <p>Our client is seeking a Data Center & Cloud Architect</p> <p>The Data Center & Cloud Architect will design and manage data center and cloud infrastructure. This role involves strong servant leadership, strategic planning and hands-on support during operations and responsible for architecting scalable, secure systems that support manufacturing and business needs. As a Senior/Lead Datacenter & Cloud Engineer will handle installation, configuration, troubleshooting, optimization, and guide the team through complex challenges.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Proven experience guiding technical team engagements and providing effective servant leadership, collaboration, and teamwork. </li><li>Architect, implement, manage, and maintain enterprise-scale infrastructure solutions across both on-premises and Azure cloud platforms. </li><li>Act as the go-to Senior/Lead Cloud Engineer during operations, resolving issues, optimizing performance, and ensuring up time. </li><li>Design and manage hybrid cloud solutions, integrating on-premises and cloud environments effectively. </li><li>Implement security protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards across all environments. </li><li>Strong knowledge of infrastructure security principles, including identity and access management, network segmentation, and cloud security controls. </li><li>Continuously monitor and optimize cloud resources to balance cost efficiency with high performance. </li><li>Design and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud and data center operations. </li><li>Lead projects from concept through implementation, coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and objectives. </li><li>Maintain up-to-date documentation on architecture, configurations, and processes. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required </li><li>6+ years in cloud engineering and data center management </li><li>Minimum 3 years in architecture or senior engineering role </li><li>Expertise in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud); Azure preferred </li><li>Significant hands-on experience with hybrid IT environments, including both on-premises data centers and public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP); Azure preferred </li><li>Strong knowledge of on-premises data center infrastructure, including servers and storage, networking, wireless, firewalls, security, and virtualization </li><li>Proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Python) </li><li>Collaboration skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders </li><li>Ability to prioritize and manage several projects at one time </li><li>Experience in manufacturing environment is a plus </li><li>Microsoft Azure Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Architect is a plus; Azure preferred </li><li>Additional certifications in security, networking or data center technologies is a plus </li></ul> <p>Please click to apply or forward resume(s) to dsummerfield@summerfield.net</p> <p>SUMMERFIELD ASSOCIATES, INC. is an award-winning and nationally recognized leader in the consulting and recruiting industry.
