<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Anticipated Instructional Literacy Coach</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <p>The job description is illustrative and not a complete itemization of all duties and responsibilities of the position.</p> <ul> <li>Contribute to the development and support of district goals, school goals, and teacher objectives, including ensuring the execution of state initiatives/mandates. </li><li>Develops relationships and collaborates with the Classroom Teachers, Building Administrators, Curriculum Coordinators, and interventionists on all matters related to instruction, including coordination of Scientific Research-Based Interventions (SRBI) and/or a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), and other supports. </li><li>Leads the development of a high-quality curriculum in collaboration with other relevant staff. </li><li>Facilitates instructional planning meetings, department, or other meetings as assigned. </li><li>Maintains first-hand role in instructional coaching as assigned (non-evaluative). </li><li>Serves as an expert in his/her field for the district and takes initiative to remain current with best practices. </li><li>Plays a key role on the district Professional Development and Evaluation Committee (PDEC). Plans and facilitates district professional learning opportunities. </li><li>Develops, coordinates, collects, and analyzes student assessment data. </li><li>Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Curriculum Coordinator and Building Principals. </li></ul> <p>Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - May be representative, but not all-inclusive of those associated with the position.</p> <ul> <li>Excellent oral and written communication skills. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time. </li><li>Ability to analyze instructional practices and student assessment data to develop and recommend strategic improvements. </li><li>Excellent knowledge of instructional leadership and coaching </li><li>Knowledge of best practices in literacy and humanities instruction. </li><li>Ability to make independent judgments within areas of responsibility. </li><li>Ability to concentrate on details with some interruption, pressure, and changing priorities. </li><li>Ability to meet deadlines with severe time constraints. </li><li>Strong collaborative skills to build and maintain high-functioning relationships with all stakeholders and professionals. </li><li>Knowledgeable about observation and coaching cycles. </li></ul>
