<p>Position Overview</p> <p>Primary supervisory level in custodial services under general supervision of Building Maintenance Supervisor I or II requiring a working knowledge of floor care and general custodial services in order to supervise and coordinate the daily activities of assigned staff while maintaining the additional responsibilities of assigned facility.</p> <p>Summary of Job Duties</p> <p>Performs supervisory function over day-to-day operations of assigned staff (e.g. entry and full performance custodial workers) including providing leadership and guidance over staff, planning shift and work schedules, preparing evaluations, coaching, counseling, handling disciplinary matters, maintaining employee records and preparing payroll. Develops and promotes positive work culture and teamwork.</p> <p>Maintains proactive communication with key stakeholders with regards to future projects or in response to work requests, distributes work orders to custodial workers through the (CMMS) Computerized Maintenance Management System in a timely manner, inspects the facility and environment for cleanliness and safety, routinely monitors assigned custodial equipment for proper operating condition, reviews quality of work performed by staff at any assigned Montgomery County facility to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.</p> <p>Receives, issues and maintains inventory control of custodial supplies and equipment. Processes corresponding invoices as appropriate.</p> <p>Performs tasks of the functional area(s) supervised (e.g. floor care--buffing, stripping, waxing, dust, clean restrooms, move boxes, equipment operation--buffer, waxer, vacuum cleaner). Provides assistance to vendors' afterhours as needed.</p> <p>(Performs Related Duties As Required)</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications and Requirements</p> <p>Equivalent to High School diploma with 2 years of experience in the custodial field and 6 months of experience or training in Employee Development and Training -OR- alternative, equivalent evidence of the Minimum Class Requirements.Valid drivers' license.</p> <p>(Other Evidences May Be Substituted)</p>
