<p>Job Description</p> <p>The Bakery Assistant Manager supports the Bakery Manager in overseeing the production of bread products for an Eataly location, including but not limited to: breads, pizza alla pala, rolls, focaccia and seasonal items. Reports to the Bakery Manager and assists with managing the bakery team in a 24-hour operating bakery.</p> <ul> <li>Prepares bread products for restaurant and retail operations in accordance with Eataly's authentic Italian recipes and quality standards </li><li>Assists the Bakery Manager with leading, directing, training and developing bakery team members, following prescribed training programs </li><li>Maintains and nurtures natural yeast, local and organic flour, and naturally leavened products </li><li>Orders ingredients and supplies for the bakery and its related areas </li><li>Communicates with management outside of the bakery in the absence of the Bakery Manager </li><li>Collaborates with Bakery Manager to oversee Front of House retail and Quick Service bakery operations </li><li>Completes administrative duties when required, including: ordering, scheduling, assessing financial information, budget monitoring and inventory </li><li>Maintains a clean and sanitary food production area according to Department of Health standards </li><li>Documents, investigates, elevates and resolves all employee and guest incidents </li><li>Performs other duties as required or assigned </li></ul>
