The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biological sciences and experience teaching at the high school level. Experience teaching in an IB school would be ideal.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Teach biology courses, including general biology and honors/AP biology, as assigned. </li><li>Design and deliver engaging lessons aligned with state science standards. </li><li>Foster a classroom environment that supports scientific inquiry and student collaboration. </li><li>Assess and monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments. </li><li>Integrate technology and hands-on lab experiences into instruction. </li><li>Participate in curriculum planning, department meetings, and school events. </li><li>Provide academic support and mentorship to students as needed. </li><li>Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors degree in Biology, Science Education, or a related field (Masters preferred). </li><li>Valid state teaching certification in Secondary Science/Biology. </li><li>Previous teaching experience at the high school level preferred. IB teaching experiencing a plus. </li><li>Strong classroom management and communication skills. </li><li>Passion for science education and student success. </li><li>Successful completion of a level II background screening and all diocesan-mandated trainings. </li></ul> <p>Application Instructions:</p> <p>Interested candidates should apply online.
