<p>Job Summary</p> <p>General Atomics (GA), and its affiliated companies, is one of the world's leading resources for high-technology systems development ranging from the nuclear fuel cycle to remotely piloted aircraft, airborne sensors, and advanced electric, electronic, wireless and laser technologies.</p> <p>Whether a specific satellite for a specific mission or a constellation of interconnected spacecraft, the GA-EMS Space Systems team is re-defining how customers can access the possibilities of space. GA-EMS offers modular and scalable satellite platforms backed with a history of operational flight experience to support defense, civil, commercial, and academic mission requirements.</p> <p>Our space systems team is looking for a Spacecraft Systems Engineer to support the design development and verification of new spacecraft design.</p> <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Support program requirement verification through the assembly, integration, and test process, including system-level test.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform analysis and decomposition of system, segment and subsystem requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Troubleshoot conflicting design/development requirements, difficult coordination requirements, and special material requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide documentation and make technical presentations as required.</p> </li><li> <p>Support program design and readiness reviews.</p> </li><li> <p>May represent the organization as the prime technical contact on small contracts or single component projects.</p> </li><li> <p>Establish collaborative working relationships with peers to ensure synergy across space, ground, and launch segments.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide proactive and pragmatic Fault Detection, Isolation and Recovery (FDIR) design and interfaces to ensure mission requirements are satisfied by SV design.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop FDIR test scenarios and support test plan and procedure development to ensure SV FDIR design is fully tested.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare systems engineering and FDIR design artifacts.</p> </li><li> <p>Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches to define and inform mission and spacecraft architecture. System Engineering work products may include:</p> </li><li> <p>CONOPS</p> </li><li> <p>System Architecture</p> </li><li> <p>Requirements and Interface Control Documents</p> </li><li> <p>Mission and System Analysis</p> </li><li> <p>Trade Studies</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
