Just 30 minutes west of Columbus, OH, situated at the junction of the Licking River and Muskingum River.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The Plant Manager is accountable for strategic operational oversight of a continuous manufacturing operation, including ensuring safety and quality standards, optimizing efficiency, cost management and leading a team of employees to meet the plant and organizational goals. .</p> <p>PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Leads and fosters a plant safety culture throughout the operations meeting all company and statutory requirements using the assigned processes and leader standard work for safety. </li><li>Lead daily plant operations, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are met or exceeded. </li><li>Promote a culture of accountability and team work within the plant. Develop capabilities of direct reports through mentoring, training, and coaching. </li><li>Focuses on people leadership and ensures talent management and succession planning processes are implemented and effective. </li><li>Reviews the performance of team members and holds them accountable for achieving plant goals. Defines performance measures through the Performance Connection process. </li><li>Effective cost management of all controllable cost elements ensuring this is achieved at the right level of the organization, at the department level to ensure ownership and accountability for cost. </li><li>Responsible for the implementation of O-I's quality system by adhering to all quality standards. </li><li>Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers. </li><li>Works with plant leadership to maintain productive employee relations. Promotes and supports team building and employee empowerment. Ensures excellent plant communications. </li><li>Provide leadership to direct reports (and that of their respective teams) to achieve optimal performance, ensuring their continued development and a promoting an engaging work environment. </li><li>Establishes a culture of operational excellence. Works with appropriate plant leadership team to develop a plan for process improvement in the plant. Includes technological improvements, training to improve employee skills, and identifying opportunities to reduce costs. </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, quality. finance, HR, etc., to identify opportunities for enhancing product quality, reducing costs, and improving overall plant efficiency with goal of improving productivity and margin. </li><li>Responsible for leading and managing the hourly workforce in alignment with the terms of the multi-site Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). This includes ensuring full compliance with all contractual obligations, labor laws, and company policies. Fosters a collaborative relationship with union leadership, proactively addressing concerns and promoting open communication. Through partnership with the Union, drives employee engagement, supports a positive work environment, and champions initiatives that enhance workforce morale, productivity, and operational excellence. </li><li>Facilitate effective communication channels within the plant, ensuring information flow between different departments and shifts. </li><li>Demonstrate ability to effectively and proactively interact and communicate with all levels of the organization, fostering an environment of trust, open communication and ownership. </li><li>Ensures compliance with Company policies, OSHA, EPA and other regulatory agencies. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree is required </li><li>15+ years' experience in manufacturing roles </li><li>Technical background in manufacturing and plant processes </li><li>Previous experience with P&L responsibility with success achieving KPIs and performance targets </li><li>Strong negotiation skills and union background with ability to lead by influence </li><li>Strong Financial Acumen and business understanding </li><li>Team Orientated Individual - must have excellent change management and people skills </li><li>Ability to interact with all levels of management, both external and internal to O-I </li><li>Strong communication and presentation skills </li><li>Ability to manage changing priorities </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>What we offer at O-I:</p> <p>Salary Range: The expected salary range for this position is between $140,000 and $160,000 and includes a possible 25% STI quarterly incentive bonus and 10% LTI yearly incentive bonus.
