(see E Ink ¦ Our Company)</p> <p>About the position:</p> <p>E Ink's Product Development Group is looking for a highly motivated, creative, and hands-on technician. Reporting to the Coatings and Laminations Manager, this individual will be responsible for maintaining day-to-day operation of equipment to produce chemicals to support the Billerica Pilot Coater. Working as part of a cross functional project team, this technician will coordinate and process the coating fluids and will be part of coating activities as needed.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Work closely with chemists and engineers to establish and implement optimized processes and material flow for the operation of Chemical Mix lab equipment </li><li>Coordinate and execute experiments in batch reactors </li><li>Ensure all best practices and safety protocols are observed and followed </li><li>Respond to process upsets (troubleshooting) and drive solutions </li><li>Monitor and assure outgoing quality of coating fluids meet specifications </li><li>Lead daily activities of Chem-Mix room and send out weekly summaries </li><li>Perform data collection, maintain records, and ensure proper functioning and cleanliness of the equipment </li><li>Work in collaboration with Pilot coater team to ensure on-time delivery of coating materials for development support </li><li>Support some of the activities in Pilot coater as needed </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>GED or High School diploma plus a minimum of 3 years' experience in a relevant manufacturing environment </li><li>Strong relationship and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously </li><li>Good understanding of weighing principles and polymer processing methods </li><li>Ability to make meaningful contributions in troubleshooting and resolving complicated technical problems </li><li>Comfortable working in a fast paced, self -managed environment with aggressive goals </li><li>PC skills: solid understanding of the Microsoft Suite and spreadsheet applications </li><li>Good verbal, oral and written communication skills </li></ul> <p>Preferences:</p> <p>Experience with compounding of powders, resins, solvents and other additives in a lab or manufacturing set up</p> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive total compensation package </li><li>Medical, dental and vision on 1st day </li><li>Company 401K match </li><li>20 PTO days </li><li>Generous sick leave policy </li><li>Casual day to day work environment </li><li>Hybrid/flexible work environment (for some positions) </li></ul> <p>E ink is committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce.
