<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Full time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Day Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>At Saint Francis Hospital the Assistant Nurse Manager Medical Surgical -internally classified as Nursing Supervisor - NL I-supports the Nurse Manager in administrative and managerial duties while guiding the healthcare team in delivering best clinical practices within the behavioral health setting.</p> <p>What you will do:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assist the Nurse Manager in overseeing unit personnel and maintaining a safe, efficient, and supportive nursing environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Supervise charge nurses and frontline staff, contributing to staff coordination, scheduling, and throughput.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in hiring, performance management, and staff development.</p> </li><li> <p>Promote a culture of safety, excellence, and continuous improvement.</p> </li><li> <p>Lead by example, fostering respectful communication, collaboration, and professional growth.</p> </li><li> <p>Support evidence-based practices and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Drive effective patient care outcomes and operational performance through transformational leadership.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).</p> </li><li> <p>Valid RN license in Connecticut.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li> <p>The ideal candidate will have 2 or more years of experience in Medical Surgical in inpatient setting.</p> </li><li> <p>1 or more years of management or supervisory experience, such as charge nurse.</p> </li><li> <p>BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).</p> </li></ul> <p>Position Highlights and Benefits</p> <ul> <li> <p>Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours/week, Day Shift/Evening Flexible Schedule.</p> </li><li> <p>Salaried position</p> </li></ul> <p>Ministry/Facility Information</p> <p>Saint Francis Hospital has been an anchor institution in Connecticut since 1897.
