<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>Job Purpose:</p> <p>Teach Physics courses to students across all academic programs at the Technical College of the Lowcountry.</p> <p>Job Functions:</p> <p>Teaching Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Deliver instruction in both theoretical and hands-on physics concepts. </li><li>Manage classromms effectively while performing necessary administrative tasks, including syllabus and lesson plan development. </li><li>Regularly assess student learning and progress. </li><li>Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic performance. </li></ul> <p>Instructional Development</p> <ul> <li>Recommend instructional materials for courses and seek approval as appropriate. </li><li>Collaborate with other college departments, such as Tutoring and Retention, to support student success. </li><li>Prepare reports in coordination with the Division Dean for planning, reporting systems, or submission to accrediting bodies. </li></ul> <p>Professional Development</p> <ul> <li>Attend relevant professional meetings and workshops. </li><li>Represent the College positively in interactions with the community, as well as with local, state, and national professional and academic groups. </li></ul> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>Master's degree in Physics or a closely related field and a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Physics. Unofficial transcrips are required at the time of application.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Master's degree in Physics and two (2) years of teaching experience at the college level.</p> <p>Additional Comments</p> <p>The Technical College of the Lowcountry seeks to be the first choice for higher education in South Carolina's Low Country Region.
