<p>Overview</p> <p>This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity for recent graduates or individuals with relevant experience to contribute to the development of transformative therapeutics for patients. As an Assistant Scientist you will be part of a team developing purification processes for recombinant antibodies and recombinant proteins. If you have a passion for science and are eager to apply your knowledge in a real-world setting, we encourage you to apply!</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Daily equipment calibration and maintenance (i.e., pH meter, conductivity meter, SoloVPE) </li><li>Buffer and solution preparation </li><li>Inventorying and restocking lab consumables </li><li>-80C freezer inventorying and sample management </li><li>General laboratory maintenance, including removal of expired consumables and reagents, cleaning glassware, cleaning of Biohazard Safety Cabinet (BSC) and water bath, as needed </li><li>Opportunities to train on protein purification techniques, including by not limited to chromatography, column packing, UFDF, nanofiltration </li><li>Opportunities to support other process development functions, including upstream and analytical </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>A.S./B.S. in Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or related field </li><li>Experience with protein purification, mammalian cell culture, and/or monoclonal antibody characterization is a plus </li><li>Good communication skills and demonstrated ability to work well within one's own team and other groups </li><li>Experience in a GMP setting is a plus </li><li>Willingness to travel </li></ul> <p>Celldex is proud to be an equal opportunity employer that strives to foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
