<p>The Tesla Nevada Construction Engineering team is seeking a Manager of Construction to play a critical role in construction projects. This person will manage a high performing team focused on company critical projects related to vehicle production. The manager will work cross-functionally with various internal and external stakeholders, interface with end users, and the manufacturing engineering team to ensure delivery of projects under schedule and under budget.</p> <ul> <li>Successfully deliver large, design build, and self-performed construction projects </li><li>Ensure on time, or ahead of time delivery of construction projects, enabling your teams to solve problems and prioritize execution </li><li>Promote a safe and quality driven culture, both project and company wide </li><li>Coach and mentor counterparts and subordinates on excellence in the construction industry </li><li>Use efficient and aesthetic communication methods to escalate roadblocks or communicate successes as necessary </li><li>Employ a can-do attitude, ensuring all stakeholders are engaged and aligned to the project's goals </li><li>Provide the best product for your respective project's customer or end users, keeping projects moving forward and fixing concerns as they arise </li><li>Foster an innovative environment amongst your team's and those within the EPC group to help Tesla succeed in accelerating the worlds transition to sustainable energy </li><li>Provide strategic input into the construction organization, setting your teams future up for growth and success </li><li>Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience </li><li>7-10 years of experience on large commercial or industrial construction projects </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation skills are a must </li><li>Advanced knowledge and proven delivery on Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Safety and Controls scopes </li><li>Ability to train and mentor colleagues on best practices for project management and execution </li><li>Willingness to get your hands dirty as needed to complete objectives and lead your times through challenging projects </li><li>Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines and aggressive goals </li><li>Have an inquisitive and open attitude to exploring new ideas and willingness to continuously learn </li><li>Capacity to work long hours on demanding projects in high stress environments </li></ul>
