<p>About the Job</p> <p>General Summary of Position</p> <p>The Floor Technician using specialized power equipment is responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surface and carpet (stripping waxing buffing shampooing extraction & bonneting) of areas that include offices patient rooms classrooms corridors lobbies entrances stairwells and other public areas such as cafeterias.</p> <p>Primary Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Performs preventative maintenance check on all equipment prior to use. </li><li>Secures the work area and post proper safety notices for other users of the space prior to beginning work. </li><li>Performs floor care including routine mopping (dry and damp) buffing and burnishing on hard surface floors and stairwells. </li><li>Performs vacuuming shampooing bonneting and extracting carpets stairwells and upholstery. </li><li>Performs wall cleaning. </li><li>Performs dusting (high and low). </li><li>Performs routine restroom cleaning. </li><li>Performs routine office and/or classroom cleaning. </li><li>Maintains floor care equipment. </li><li>Performs terminal cleaning with use of UV machine in ORs patient rooms and public areas. Must be able to use pre-programmed electronic tablet for initiating timed UV cleaning cycles and data collection purposes. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned by supervision </li></ul> <p>Minimal Qualifications</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED required </li><li>Minimum of 3 years of directly relevant job-related experience may be substituted for the educational requirement </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>1 year experience and/or successful completion of the DES Floor Tech training program required </li></ul> <p>Knowledge Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Requires the ability to read write and perform basic addition and subtraction. </li><li>Requires the ability to comply with basic oral and written instructions. </li><li>Knowledge of how to strip wax and burnish floors with minimal to no assistance. </li><li>Knowledge of operating various pieces of equipment necessary to effectively perform job functions such as a high-speed buffer extractor wet vac pressure washer auto scrubber. </li><li>Knowledge of and adherence to specific floor care processes in addition to knowledge and the safe use of various chemical agents (MSDS Sheets). </li></ul> <p>This position has a hiring range of</p> <p>USD $18.54 - USD $26.92 /Hr.</p>
