The day custodian is responsible for cleaning restrooms, cleaning up spills and messes that are reported, during inclement weather taking care of tracking of snow or water to help prevent slips and falls, going around the building and picking up recycle and transporting it to the basement. They will oversee the contracted day custodian to make sure they are doing their duties. Other cleaning duties such as cleaning glass and emptying trash in public areas. Cleaning up reported messes throughout the Capitol Building.
