<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Kitchen Cook/Manager</p> <p>North Street School</p> <p>Position Start Date: ASAP</p> <p>Application Closing Date: Open until filled</p> <p>Job Summary: To provide nutritious, quality meals to the students of Windsor Locks Public Schools. To effectively and efficiently complete all tasks needed to successfully operate and oversee the kitchen. Under the direction and supervision of the Food Service Director is responsible for the following:</p> <ul> <li>Supervising and training of all kitchen staff. </li><li>Follows all HACCP policies and procedures including correct documentation. </li><li>Places all food orders adhering to monthly menus and is conscious of food costs. </li><li>Conducts accurate monthly inventory of all product. </li><li>Conducts monthly safety training to kitchen staff. </li><li>Maintains a clean and sanitary working environment. </li><li>Maintains a high standard for food safety. </li><li>Insures a positive and professional relationship with students, staff and administration </li><li>Completes other tasks/directives instructed by Food Service Director </li></ul> <p>Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in food service management. Experience working in a fast paced, high-volume kitchen, as well as supervising kitchen staff.
