<p>Position Summary</p> <p>Under the general review of the Network and Data Center Operations Section Chief/Unit Supervisor, this position is responsible for the integration, connectivity, and security of very complex, disparate distributed network communication infrastructure that involves multiple hardware and software platforms, multiple operating systems, and advanced technologies such as Cisco network switches, advanced network configurations, firewalls, and wireless configurations. This position is responsible for assisting with the research, development, security, and support of core network infrastructure and tools to allow for all communications between IT assets connected to the enterprise state network.</p> <p>For more information, please view the Network Infrastructure Technician (IS Enterprise Network Services Senior) position description.</p> <p>For more information, please view the Senior Network Infrastructure Technician (IS Enterprise Network Services Specialist) position description.</p> <p>Levels will be determined by applicant qualifications and experience.</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>Starting salary for the IS Enterprise Network Services Senior (07-34) will be between $29.27 - $45.41 an hour, depending on applicant qualifications. Starting salary for the IS Enterprise Network Services Specialist (07-33) will be between $34.16 - $50.00 an hour, depending on applicant qualifications. A 12-month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be in accordance with the State Compensation Plan.</p> <p>Job Details</p> <p>Due to the nature of the position, DOA will conduct fingerprinting and/or background checks on applicants prior to selection. DOA does not sponsor work visas. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States, and to complete the required employment eligibility form upon hire.</p> <p>All employees are expected to live and work in Wisconsin. Certain positions within this Department may allow remote/work from home flexibility for a portion of their work schedule, depending on the needs of the position and the work unit. This topic and any remote work flexibility that may be available will be discussed in more detail in the interview process.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimally qualified applicants for either level will have education, training, or experience with:</p> <ul> <li>Set up, configuring, and maintenance of Enterprise network hardware (router, switch, wireless) such as testing, building, and implementing hardware for customer access to vital applications, maintaining network management applications, or similar. </li></ul> <p>In addition to the above, well qualified candidates for the Specialist level will have experience with the following:</p> <ul> <li>Managing, administering, and monitoring networks and subnetworks including Wide Area Networks and Local Area Networks. </li><li>Configuring, installing, supporting, and troubleshooting Cisco data networking equipment including switches, routers, and wireless access points. </li><li>Working with business customers to identify and keep up with changing business needs through customer service and support. </li></ul> <p>How To Apply</p> <p>Apply online!
