<p>Responsibilities</p> <p>As an Instructional Designer in our Education team, you will achieve significant customer impact. You'll have an opportunity to combine a passion for teaching and learning, with enthusiasm for data, to drive learning and establish positive customer relationships. You will be tasked with the development, creation, and implementation of self-paced training and education content to a diverse customer base. You will work alongside internal and external partners to design new learning experiences while reimagining existing product training.You will also be responsible to:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Design and develop online learning experiences that align with learning outcomes, apply research-based learning principles, and inform learner progress and success in the Workato online learning environments including Automation Institute</p> </li><li> <p>Gain domain knowledge to identify and clearly communicate highly complex content and present and refine learning design proposals</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and other learning experience designers to identify learning goals and learning outcomes for online learning experiences</p> </li><li> <p>Use eLearning authoring tools, such as Articulate, TechSmith Camtasia, and SkillJar, to build online learning experiences that include assessments, interactive activities, animated videos, graphics and images, SCORM-compliant modules, and text-based content</p> </li><li> <p>Pursue a deep understanding of learner roles to ensure that learning solutions meet the needs of learners</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain knowledge of new developments in learning science, learning design, and learning technologies</p> </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Qualifications / Experience / Technical Skills</p> <ul> <li> <p>Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Communications or related field or have relevant work experience in elements of content creation, enablement, and program/project management</p> </li><li> <p>Able to commit to working full time for 12 months, working effectively with global teams with different time zones and cultural considerations.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working as a member of a cross-functional team to collaborate with subject matter experts to design curriculum for online instruction</p> </li><li> <p>Solid project management skills including planning work, managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track, using time well, and delivering results</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency with project management tools such as SmartSheets or Jira</p> </li><li> <p>Experience creating digital media (e.g. simulations, animated video, graphics, etc.)</p> </li><li> <p>Experience using data to inform continuous improvement</p> </li><li> <p>Experience developing training in a variety of delivery modalities (virtual, hands-on/experiential, instructor led, remote classroom, synchronous/asynchronous) for a variety of audiences</p> </li></ul> <p>Soft Skills / Personal Characteristics</p> <ul> <li> <p>Strong collaboration skills, ability to adapt to a dynamic start-up environment with a passion for making an impact</p> </li><li> <p>Strong critical thinking, analytical skills with a proactive mind-set</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time, even under high-pressure situations</p> </li><li> <p>Strong written and oral communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts effectively to a non-technical audience</p> </li><li> <p>Fast learner who can independently conduct extensive research, and synthesize ideas, information and options quickly</p> </li><li> <p>Be proactive about solving problems and be ready to take on additional initiatives and responsibilities as they emerge</p> </li></ul> <p>(REQ ID: 2087)</p>
