<p>Position Summary...</p> <p>As the Senior Manager, Supplier Discovery and Development, you will build and manage a pipeline of suppliers and support scaling to empower suppliers to succeed with Walmart. This role is pivotal in advancing Walmart U.S. Merchandising's customer value proposition, delivering a growing assortment that continues to meet customers.</p> <p>About the team:</p> <p>You will work at the intersection of supplier development, merchant strategy, and enterprise growth to support Walmart's suppliers. As part of the U.S. Supplier Growth & Development team within Supplier Excellence in Merchandising Excellence, you'll advance discovery, onboarding, and growth for all U.S. suppliers, including small businesses, while also supporting the U.S. Manufacturing Commitment. This work strengthens supplier capability, fosters innovation, and delivers measurable impact for merchants, suppliers, and the communities they serve.</p> <p>Whether it's managing a budget, replenishing product, developing mods, reviewing performance, or building strategy, Merch Ops touches all aspects of Merchandising.</p> <p>What you'll do...</p> <ul> <li>Align supplier discovery to merchant category priorities to drive targeted, efficient assortment growth. </li><li>Build and maintain a strong pipeline of capable suppliers to support Walmart Merchandising. </li><li>Improve pipeline quality by assessing supplier readiness early and directing suppliers to the right opportunities to increase conversion and year-over-year growth. </li><li>Partner with Merch Excellence and Merchandising teams to deliver supplier pipelines aligned to category strategies. </li><li>Identify new supplier prospects through industry events and Walmart-sponsored recruitment events. </li></ul> <p>What you'll bring...</p> <ul> <li>5 years + of experience in supplier development, merchandising, or sourcing </li><li>You're a strong collaborator who can support and influence teams. </li><li>You can influence and educate suppliers to enhance their capabilities and scalability. </li><li>You have a track record of developing and scaling suppliers. </li><li>You understand Walmart supply chain and inner workings of supplier onboarding </li><li>Experience working with suppliers and/or procurement. </li><li>Familiarity with Merch One, Supplier One, and Airtable. </li></ul> <p>At Walmart, we offer competitive pay as well as performance-based bonus awards and other great benefits for a happier mind, body, and wallet.
