<p>Overview</p> <p>The primary duties and responsibilities of Plant Services Supervisor consist of, but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Supervision of 15-20 janitorial hourly employees </li><li>Achieving safety and training goals </li><li>Project management </li><li>Work with and supervising vendors </li><li>Special projects </li><li>Overseeing janitorial services at the Groton, Kings Highway, B793, and New London sites </li><li>Cleaning equipment </li><li>Carpentry services </li><li>Sign shop services </li><li>Painting services </li><li>Hazmat services </li><li>Development and implementation of process improvements </li><li>Utilization of VMI programs </li><li>Performance of preparation and removal of Christening Ceremonies, special events, road sweeper operations </li><li>If needed, willing to participate in an alternative schedule during snow operations, snow removal and de-icing operations </li><li>Working overtime as required to support organizational tasks </li><li>Ability to interface with all levels of management and union leadership </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma/GED or equivalent </li><li>5+ years of experience in maintenance or similar scope of work </li><li>Working daily and weekend overtime to support snow removal operations and special projects as needed </li><li>Working daily and weekend overtime as requested </li><li>Work alternate shift/ 3rd shift as needed at the discretion of management. </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>1+ year of supervisory experience </li><li>Janitorial experience </li><li>Snow removal experience </li><li>Knowledge of backhoe and tractor operations </li><li>Knowledge of SDS process </li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <ul> <li>Strong communication written and oral skills </li><li>Strong people skills </li><li>Strong motivational skills </li><li>Strong accountability skills </li><li>Strong organizational & attention to detail skills </li><li>Computer skills </li><li>Strong Safety performance track record </li></ul> <p>Physical Qualifications</p> <p>Climbing, Color Vision, Crawling, Heavy Lifting, Kneeling, Light Lifting, Medium Lifting, Pulling, Pushing, Reaching, Stooping, Twisting</p> <p>Environmental Attributes</p> <p>Acids or Alkalis, Cold, Dry, Dusty, Fumes, Hot, Inside, Noise, Oily, Outside, Wet</p>
