<p>SUBJECT: Construction Craft Laborer (CCL)</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Building Principal, Director of Career Vocational and Technical Education</p> <p>ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE:</p> <p>This individual is accountable for the teaching and supervision of Chapter 74 students under the direction of the Department Head.</p> <p>PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (to be included along with other responsibilities)</p> <ol> <li> <p>Responsible for the delivery of instruction of subject matter in both Shop and Related Theory, in accordance with departmental curriculum objectives and the MA CVTE Curriculum Frameworks.</p> </li><li> <p>Utilizing MA curriculum CCL frameworks.</p> </li><li> <p>Establish and maintain a professional classroom/shop environment, with an emphasis on shop safety, strong work ethic, and mastery of skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Attend General Advisory Committee meetings.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure knowledge in the latest relevant laws and regulations through conferences, workshops, and other professional development opportunities.</p> </li><li> <p>Establish and implement specific goals in accordance with district-wide, school-wide, and department requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Support the Department Head/Instructor in charge in recommending program improvement, equipment & supply purchases, and grant preparation.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other duties as assigned.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for assuring equal education opportunities to all individuals; regardless of race, gender, age, marital status, religion, gender identity, natural origin, sexual orientation, homelessness, or disability.</p> </li></ol> <p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ol> <li>MA DESE Teacher's approval (Chapter 74) in CCL, or ability to obtain within 1 year. </li><li>Bachelor's Degree </li><li>Curriculum development experience and knowledge of integration of technical competencies with curriculum frameworks. </li><li>Five years of recent full-time employment experience directly related to CCL. </li><li>Competency in software and programming applications related to the subject matter. </li><li>Competency in the use of computer applications and instructional technology to aid in the interactive delivery of instruction. </li><li>Incorporate fundamentals of subject matter into the delivery of curriculum instruction. </li><li>SEI Endorsement </li></ol> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ol> <li>Familiar with blending learning environment. </li><li>Advanced educational preparation. </li><li>Evidence of educational leadership. </li><li>Evidence of good human relation skills. </li><li>Ability to develop & deliver instruction that helps to ensure program enrollment growth. </li><li>Evidence of or ability to meet industry-recognized credentials. </li><li>Authorized 10 & 30- Hour OSHA General Industry Trainer. </li><li>Strong documentation and organizational skills. </li><li>Demonstrated experience-supporting students with special needs. </li><li>Ability to speak Albanian, Arabic, Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese, or an African Language </li><li>Experience teaching students who are English language learners </li><li>Demonstrated experience with second language acquisition. </li><li>Candidates who are licensed in another state will be considered if they qualify for the temporary license from DESE (must possess the equivalent license from another state and must have documented proof of working under that license for at least three complete school years).
