<p>Department/Unit:</p> <p>Occupational Therapy</p> <p>Work Shift:</p> <p>Day (United States of America)</p> <p>Salary Range:</p> <p>$65,102.17 - $100,908.37</p> <p>The Occupational therapist evaluates and treats injury, disease, and other conditions of health. Occupational Therapy includes performance and interpretation of tests and measurements to assess pathological and developmental deficits of human systems. Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:</p> <ul> <li>Evaluate and treat patients in Occupational performance areas </li><li>Maintains written and verbal communication regarding patient and departmental concerns, provides hand off communication via written communication, submits accurate billing information within insurance restrictions </li><li>Promotes and contributes to all sanitary and housekeeping policies which are designed to maintain the cleanliness and readiness of all clinic and general staff areas </li><li>Participates in department quality improvement activities </li></ul> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities, including but not limited to:</p> <p>A. Planning and Program Development</p> <ol> <li> <p>Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of services provided by Occupational Therapy</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates a sound understanding of costs, funding and billing practices</p> </li><li> <p>Verifies on an ongoing basis that the plan of care meets discharge needs</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates the ability to plan a OT program and administer treatment based on patient needs</p> </li></ol> <p>D. Educational Leadership</p> <ol> <li>Encourage continuous learning to expand personal and organizational growth </li></ol> <p>E. Hospital-wide Leadership</p> <ol> <li> <p>Serves as a positive role model/positive influence to other staff members</p> </li><li> <p>Follows proper chain of command for conflict resolution</p> </li></ol> <p>F. Patient Safety</p> <ol> <li> <p>Consistently demonstrates sound judgement and seeks guidance as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates safe use of equipment</p> </li></ol> <p>Organizational Requirements:</p> <p>Maintain strict adherence to the Albany Medical Center Confidentiality policy.</p> <p>Incorporate Albany Medical Center Behavioral Standards and Guiding Principles into daily activities.</p> <p>Comply with all Albany Medical Center Policies.</p> <p>Comply with behavioral expectations of the department.</p> <p>Maintain courteous and effective interactions with colleagues.</p> <p>Demonstrate an understanding of the job description, performance expectations, and competency assessment.</p> <p>Demonstrate a commitment toward meeting and exceeding the needs of our customers and consistently adheres to Customer Service standards.</p> <p>Participate in departmental and/or interdepartmental quality improvement activities.</p> <p>Participate in and successfully completes Mandatory Education.</p> <p>Perform all other duties as needed or directed to meet the needs of the department.</p> <p>The Occupational therapist evaluates and treats injury, disease, and other conditions of health. Occupational Therapy includes the performance and interpretation of tests and measurements to assess pathological and developmental deficits of human systems. Occupational therapists help people with physical injuries or illnesses or who have lost function due to accidents, illness or age regain their independence with activities of daily living.
