<p>Job Description</p> <p>ECU Health</p> <p>At the James and Connie Maynard Childrens Hospital, located at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, we are committed to caring for the kids of eastern North Carolina. As the regions only Childrens Hospital, this hospital within a hospital has a total 197 beds and bassinets, including a Level IV NICU, quaternary PICU with ECMO capabilities, a dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department, and a specialized critical-care transport team. Using the latest technologies and highly trained personnel, our child-centered clinical care is unrivaled. The facilities and pediatric services are strategically designed to meet the unique needs of children involving families from start to finish. Our team at Maynard Childrens Hospital is committed to transforming the future of eastern North Carolina, one child at a time.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>Operate ambulances, including Mobile Intensive Care and Neonatal Units, to transport sick, injured or convalescent patients to and from the hospital. Responsible for knowledge of the region and reading maps in researching destination.</p> <p>Administers basic life support/first aid to transported patients, including moving patients in and out of ambulances with knowledge of all applicable medical equipment.</p> <p>Performs basic ambulance maintenance, inspections, restocking and equipment cleaning daily with vehicle detailing weekly. Performs clerical duties and other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Responsible for communication of medical information during transport, documentation of appropriate information involving the transport and accounts for transport charges when received. Must adhere to the schedule of duty as assigned.</p> <p>Maintains required driver training, certifications, continued education, and hospital requirements.</p> <p>Assists Transportation Staff with duties involving maintenance of ECU Health vehicles.</p> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <p>American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification</p> <p>High School, equivalent or higher is required.</p> <p>NCOEMS Emergency Medical Technician Certification is required</p> <p>NC Drivers License is required.</p> <p>Minimum 1 year EMT experience</p> <p>Other Information</p> <p>Shift: 6-6 rotating days and nights, 2 - 12 hour shifts per week</p> <p>Part-time</p> <p>#LI-SG1</p> <p>General Statement</p> <p>It is the goal of ECU Health and its entities to employ the most qualified individual who best matches the requirements for the vacant position.</p> <p>Offers of employment are subject to successful completion of all pre-employment screenings, which may include an occupational health screening, criminal record check, education, reference, and licensure verification.</p> <p>We value diversity and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
