<p>Permanency Supervisor</p> <p>Philadelphia Regional Office</p> <p>Educational Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in Social Work or related field preferred </li></ul> <p>Work Experience</p> <ul> <li>1 to 2 years of experience working directly with children and families in the areas of foster care and adoption. </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Requirements</p> <ul> <li>At least 1 year of direct supervisory experience with children and families in either job related or volunteer experience preferred </li></ul> <p>Status</p> <ul> <li>Full-time; Exempt </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Must have excellent organizational, verbal and written communication, and inter-personal skills </li><li>Must demonstrate leadership tenants and the ability to work independently with children and families. Knowledge of Kinship Foster Care services and adoption preferred </li><li>Must possess excellent case management and client assessment skills </li><li>Must have the ability to work effectively and cooperatively with other professionals and service providers </li></ul> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>To be directly responsible for the supervision of assigned staff which will include Permanency Specialists and Permanency Workers. </li><li>Ensures compliance in the permanency document request process utilizing gold standard practice to achieve timely fulfillment of PLC and Adoption requests. </li><li>Responsible for overseeing the permanency planning meetings and weekly permanency status updates with Program workers and Supervisors. </li><li>Provides direct oversight for Permanency Round Table process, tracking and execution. </li><li>Develops and implements program policies, procedures and controls necessary to ensure best practices in child/family safety, well-being, assessments, case management, permanency planning, etc. </li><li>Develops and maintains effective family foster care service programs that address diverse service needs, outcomes attainment including, quality service standards, permanency and the use of technology to enhance service delivery to children and youth; birth parents; kinship caregivers, and foster parents. </li><li>Serve as a liaison for DHS/CUA/CYF for all permanency questions or concerns. </li><li>Assist in implementing creative solutions for collaborating with the County team to ensure that families are prepared for permanency, and knowledgeable of their permanency options. </li><li>Participate in conducting Permanency Training and education to staff and families </li><li>Attend various meetings pertaining to permanency issues as a liaison to permanency </li><li>Provide all functions of a Program Supervisor (only in circumstances when permanency staff are overseeing program cases) which include: </li><li>To review all documentation related to the specific casework tasks and when needed to complete said documentation in KIDS, Extended Reach and the DHS assessment system. </li><li>To interface with clients, DHS/CUA/CYF, other providers and management staff regarding client specific issues in an effort to resolve and support kinship placements. </li><li>To prepare written reports to/for the leadership team of Child and Family Services on designated subjects related to safety, wellbeing and permanency of clients. </li><li>To gather monthly statistical data on client information and goal achievement for each program outcomes report in an effort to strategically achieve all departmental performance goals and strategic plans for growth. </li><li>To interface with all organizational departments to address and resolve client concerns inclusive of but not limited to the Fiscal department, Transportation department, RMD, Certification, Compliance, and SBH departments. </li><li>To serve as the first line on problem solving and de-escalation for on call and crisis situations. </li><li>To coach, lead, motivate and hold accountable personnel through providing daily support for the division, leading unit meetings and completing supervisions. </li><li>To ensure file compliance for the respective units and abide by all DPW foster parent licensure standards. </li><li>Adhere to all other program and agency policies and procedures governing the objective of the agency and program. </li><li>Work on-call hours as directed </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License </li><li>Registered and insured vehicle </li><li>Certificate of Insurance for vehicle </li><li>Valid PA Inspection (even if vehicle is registered in another state) </li><li>Valid/Clean Motor Vehicle Record </li><li>Current Act 33, Police Clearance and FBI Clearance </li><li>City/County travel </li><li>Carry agency cell phone </li><li>On Call </li></ul> <p>Reports to Permanency Director</p> <p>A Second Chance is an Equal Opportunity Employer</p> <p>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religious; national origin or ancestry; sex; gender identity or expression; sexual orientation disability; marital status; familial status; age (40 or over); or use of a guide or support animal because of blindness, deafness or physical disability of any individual or independent contractor or because of the disability of an individual with whom the person is known to have an association; or on any other basis prohibited by federal, state, or local law.</p>
