Experience with Micros, high volume, and extensive coffee and tea knowledge are all beneficial but not required. The Barista is an integral part of a coffee shop's operations responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages to customers, ensuring each cup is crafted with precision and care. Exceptional customer service skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of coffee will enable you to deliver a great service experience to every customer.</p> <p>Position Responsibilities/ Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Prepare and serve a range of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, and specialty drinks, while maintaining consistent taste and presentation standards. </li><li>Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, providing exceptional customer service at all times. </li><li>Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, and handle cash transactions or operate the POS system. </li><li>Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including coffee preparation areas, equipment, coffee condiment stations, and dining areas. </li><li>Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of customers and colleagues. </li><li>Stay up to date with coffee industry trends, including new blends, brewing methods, and flavor profiles, and make recommendations to customers. </li><li>Assist in restocking inventory, tracking supplies, and placing orders as needed. </li><li>Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and contribute to a positive work environment. </li><li>Uphold company policies and procedures, including adhering to work schedules, dress code, and attendance guidelines. </li><li>Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures </li><li>To ensure that all perishable items used behind the bar are labeled/dated and responsible for rotating and throwing away to maintain quality control </li><li>Portrays a positive friendly and professional attitude at all times, always smiles and greets guests warmly and genuinely </li><li>Provides prompt, professional, friendly, and personalized service to our guests </li><li>Performs opening side work and set up station </li><li>Attends and participates in any training sessions, department meetings </li><li>Provides professional and exceptional food and beverage service </li><li>Listens to guests and anticipates their needs </li></ul>
