<p>The Business Intelligence Analyst position in the Finance and Business Information Services team is responsible for conducting reviews and analytics and implementing and enhancing data solutions to meet business requirements.</p> <p>One of the key responsibilities is to implement models, reporting and visualization. The analyst analyzes data, creates and maintains documentation, and provides first-level support to data owners and end users. The analyst also participates in the implementation of data solutions.</p> <p>Leadership responsibility for this position consists of collecting user feedback, contributing ideas, and communication within FBIS, senior management, customers and other partners, and across university boundaries.</p> <p>This position is eligible for a combination of on-campus and remote work and will require a work arrangement form to be completed upon the start of your employment. Grow professionally with advanced training, leadership development, and tuition assistance.</p> <p>Iowa City offers a great quality of life with world-class performances at Hancher Auditorium, Big Ten athletics, top-ranked public schools, and outdoor recreation.</p> <p>Join us in making a difference at a leading Big Ten university and premier public research institution.</p> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience in business processes and technical services. </li><li>Direct work-related experience (typically 6 months to 1 year) in business analytics, data engineering, and/or report development. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to communicate effectively with technical/non-technical staff. </li><li>Knowledge of database management systems (DBMS) such as SQL Server and Oracle DBMS. </li><li>Experience with reporting tools, such as SQL Server Reporting Services, and data visualization tools, such as Power BI. </li><li>Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL/ELT processes, such as SSIS. </li><li>Capability to process and cleanse data. </li><li>Ability to learn new technologies and processes. </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with data and reporting solutions in a higher educational setting. </li><li>Experience with business and financial applications. </li><li>Beyond 1 year's direct work-related experiences in business analytics, data engineering, and/or report development. </li><li>Experience in conducting presentations to technical and non-technical audiences. </li><li>Experience with Data Governance, and Data Security, Privacy, and Ethics. </li><li>Industry certifications, such as Microsoft Certified Azure Data Scientist Associate and Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst Associate. </li></ul> <p>Position and Application Details:</p> <p>In order to be considered for an interview, applicants must upload the following documents and mark them as a "Relevant File" to the submission:</p> <ul> <li>Resume </li><li>Cover Letter </li></ul> <p>Job openings are posted for a minimum of 14 calendar days and may be removed from posting and filled any time after the original posting period has ended.</p> <p>Successful candidates will be required to self-disclose any conviction history and will be subject to a criminal background check.
