Category Retail Close Date Description</p> <p>Temporary/Full Time Grocery Associate</p> <p>Description</p> <p>Keep displays, coolers, and shelves fully stocked and to provide prompt, friendly, courteous customer service and to help meet department sales objectives.</p> <p>Status: Hourly, $16.50/hour, Evenings & Weekends</p> <p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>Stocking:</p> <ul> <li>Stock displays fully without overcrowding; face items on shelves </li><li>Rotate older stock to front, making space for new stock </li><li>Pull short-date or low quality items and follow established departmental procedures for recording and disposing of them </li><li>Label items accurately with price tags or signs as needed. Report price discrepancies to buyers </li></ul> <p>Customer Service:</p> <ul> <li>Assist customers with product questions in a prompt, friendly, courteous manner, referring them to other staff when necessary </li><li>Offer suggestions for purchases and ways to prepare products </li><li>Help customers place Special Orders </li></ul> <p>Receiving:</p> <ul> <li>In absence of Receiver, check deliveries to verify piece count and notify purchaser of discrepancies </li><li>Check for damage and unacceptable quality, notify purchaser of discrepancies </li><li>Help with unloading deliveries as needed </li><li>Sign for deliveries with appropriate adjustments noted on invoice and route invoice to buyer </li><li>Rotate overstock into storage </li></ul> <p>Department Maintenance:</p> <ul> <li>Keep shelves, coolers, and bins in clean, orderly condition </li><li>Remove cardboard and trash promptly </li><li>Sweep and mop floor </li><li>Monitor cooler and freezer temperatures when working in those areas </li><li>Report equipment malfunctions/problems to appropriate parties as per departmental procedures </li><li>Use equipment following all appropriate safely procedures </li><li>Participate in inventory as assigned </li></ul> <p>Additional:</p> <ul> <li>Attend Department and store meetings </li><li>Perform other tasks assigned by supervisor </li></ul> <p>Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Open Date 5/2/2025 Position Grocery, Associate Position Requirements</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to safely and consistently lift up to 50 lbs throughout a shift </li><li>Ability to work shifts with constant standing throughout work day and frequent kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching </li><li>Ability to work in cold areas (coolers, freezers) for extended periods </li><li>Ability to handle multiple demands </li><li>Experience serving the public </li><li>Familiarity with natural foods a plus </li><li>Basic arithmetic skills </li><li>Familiarity with basic office computer functions including spreadsheets, email, internet </li><li>Experience with computer Point-of-Sale systems a plus </li></ul> <p>Shift Various Shifts</p>
