You will support Tooling Technicians in creating and maintaining specialized production tools, dies, and fixtures for world-class Manitou equipment. We are seeking a dedicated professional eager to grow into a skilled Machining or Tooling expert.Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Tooling Support: Assist with the assembly, maintenance, and repair of production tooling.</p> </li><li> <p>Skill Development: Receive hands-on training in blueprint reading, technical schematics, and engineering drawing interpretation.</p> </li><li> <p>Machine Operation (Under Supervision): Learn to operate manual mills, lathes, grinders, and CNC machinery.</p> </li><li> <p>Shop Support: Perform basic welding and fabrication tasks.</p> </li><li> <p>Quality & Safety: Ensure tools meet quality standards, meet production deadlines, and maintain a safe, 5S-compliant work environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Problem-Solving: Help troubleshoot tooling issues to minimize production downtime.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience: No prior technical experience required; basic machining or welding training (vocational or shop) is preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Personal Attributes: Proven track record of excellent attendance, a strong work ethic, high personal responsibility, and a strong mechanical aptitude.</p> </li><li> <p>Mindset: High "coachability" and a long-term interest in Tool and Die making or CNC machining.</p> </li><li> <p>Teamwork: Ability to work effectively and communicate clearly within a team.</p> </li><li> <p>Physical: Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.</p> </li></ul> <p>INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CONNECTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Engineering and Production Associates </li><li>Tool and fixture vendors </li></ul> <p>LOCALIZATION AND TRAVEL EXPECTED:</p> <ul> <li>Madison, SD </li><li>Less than 5% </li></ul> <p>OUR REWARDS & RECOGNITION:</p> <p>In addition to an inclusive compensation package, we offer a comprehensive benefits program, including: Medical/Dental/Vision, 401k including employer match, tuition reimbursement, community-oriented volunteer program, wellness activities, employee and family activities throughout the year, and so much more!
