<p>Music Program Assistant JobID: 3635</p> <p>Position Type:</p> <p>Miscellaneous</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>7/30/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Cityside Middle School</p> <p>Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Summary:</p> <p>The Music Program Assistant (Accompanist) will provide assistance to the music teacher (s) to ensure a positive learning experience for students.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assist the teacher with routine duties, large group instruction and small ensembles. </li><li>Attend and assist with concerts, parades, festivals, solo and ensemble and other performances. Participate in school meetings, assemblies, programs and school events. </li><li>Provide assistance and supervise students in hallways during passing time. </li><li>Perform clerical duties including the collection of money, grading papers, filing, processing correspondence, etc. </li><li>Assist students by dispensing medication, perform medically related tasks, contact parents when necessary, care for sick/injured students. </li><li>Facilitate fundraisers including communication, money collection and product distribution. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma required; must meet NCLB highly qualified standards. </li><li>Music background and computer skills required. </li><li>Must possess effective communication skills to maintain positive rapport with parents and students. </li><li>Proficient in playing piano in front of audiences </li></ul> <p>Schedule:</p> <ul> <li>Hours will vary based on need and performancce schedule. </li></ul> <p>Compensation:</p> <p>Level II - $15.13 - $17.71</p> <p>The supervisor will review applications and schedule interview with the most qualified candidates.
